This DC power adapter is for using on vehicles (like cars and boats) with standard cigarette lighters. If you want to use it on the airplane, you need order an optional Airline In-Seat Power Connector . However, in most airplanes, each seat can only supply max. 75W power. If your laptop needs more than 75W power to run, you may not use it on airplanes. Although this DC adapter's maximum output is 120W, its actual output is anything between 0 ~ 120W, depends how many watts power your laptop needs.
