This 4-bay Firewire enclosure provides a fast and easy way for PC or Mac users to add up to 4 additional IDE hard drives, CD-ROMs, CD-RWs, or tape backup drives to their system. It provides four 5.25 inch bays for IDE devices. 3.5 inch hard drives can be installed by using a 3.5" to 5.25" drive adapter bracket (not included). The sleek looking case features a built-in power supply with high capacity cooling fan to keep the drives running cool.
FireWire connectivity makes this drive appropriate for graphic design, desktop video and audio and comes in a size to fit any type of storage requirement. Dual FireWire ports allow you to connect to additional FireWire/1394 or iLINK devices.

Note: if you want to connect this unit to a 4-pin firewire port (most notebook's firewire ports are 4-pin ports), you need order an addtional 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable for this unit.
