How does this service  work ?

5 simple steps to make this service work for you:

1.  Order   one or more  internal laptop  hard drives from us.

2. Order  one or more this  Laptop Hard Drive Installation  Service. Please not that one installation service is only good for one hard drive installation.

Please tell us your laptop brand and model in the option  fields when  you order this installation service

3. You back up your important data files from your laptop/notebook computer, then pack your laptop/notebook computer, ship the laptop/notebook computer with AC/DC adapter and some software drivers to us.

4. After we receive your laptop/notebook computer, we will remove your current hard drive from your laptop and install the new hard drive you ordered into your laptop/notebook computer.

Note: Hard drive installation service is just hardware installation, it does not include software installation and data transfer. However, we will try to transfer all data from your current hard drive to the new hard drive if it is  possible. If your current hard drive is still in good condition, it may be done. If it fails, then you need to re-install your operating system and software to the new hard drive after you receive the your laptop.

5. We will ship  your upgraded  laptop/notebook computer to you through the shipping method you chose when you order the hard drive and installation service.

Note:  Some  laptop computer hard drive  may not be serviceable. We will fully refund the service charge if we can not perform the hard drive installation service. However, shipping charge is not refundable. 

What do you need send to BiX Computers with your laptop/notebook computer ?

1. AC to DC adapter for your laptop/notebook computer (this is the MUST )

2. Your operating software (windows 95/98/2000/XP) CD and drivers disks for your laptop/notebook computers

3. Your order #  from BiX Computers

4. Anything that you think will help us smooth the hard drive installation and data transfer.

How long it will take ?

We will have the job done within 2 business days after we received your laptop/notebook computer. So total time will be: 2 business days +  days for shipping back and forth .

How about shipping charge ?

This service charge does not include the shipping charge for send back the   to you, when you finally place the order with us, you will chose the shipping method, our web order system will calculate the shipping charge for shipping back the computer to you based on your address and shipping method you selected. typically, for UPS ground  it may cost you around $15 to $20 .

Service Agreement

If you order this "Laptop/Notebook Hard Drive Installation Service " from BiX Computers, it means you agree this agreement:

This agreement is an authorization for BiX Computers to perform any repairs, upgrades or replaces to the computer as discussed and deemed necessary. BiX Computers accepts no responsibility, whatsoever, for any software program, data or information stored on any media or any part to any product delivered to BiX Computers for upgrade. BiX Computers will undertake to return the computer system and any associated product, with the contents of the media intact. However, if during installation of any product, the contents of the hard disk drive are altered, deleted, lost or modified in any way, BiX Computers will in no way be held responsible. In no event will BiX Computers or its suppliers be responsible for Client or any third party for any damages of any kind including any direct or indirect damages, loss business, loss profits, loss savings, or other economic damages of any kind, or any special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, whether for breach of contract, tort, or any other theory of liability, or whether arising out of, or related to the transactions or services contemplated under this upgrade agreement, or the use, or inability to use the computer system or any related product, even if BiX Computers or an authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages or any claim by any third party. Some  laptop computer hard drive  may not be serviceable. BiX Computers will fully refund the service charge if we can not perform the hard drive installation service. However, shipping charge is not refundable.
