This drive has no jumpers that need to be set
This drive does not require any unique device drivers for Windows '98/2000/XP/Vista//NT. After installing your drive and re-booting, your system should recognize your drive. Win '98/2000/XP/Vista/NT Operating Systems support all ATAPI drives natively.

Note: The software bundled with the drive is Nero Express 7 Essentials version. To take full advantage of the DVD +/-RW drive features, you may need to get software upgraded from Nero. Software CD may look different from picture shown.

1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the
computer is off or in hibernation, turn the computer on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Remove the battery pack
5. Remove the hard drive
6. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screw 1 that secures the
optical drive to the computer.
7. Insert a thin tool, such as a paper clip, into the media tray release hole 2. (The optical drive media tray releases from the optical drive.)
8. Use the media tray frame to slide the optical drive to the left 3.
9. Remove the optical drive.
Reverse the above procedure to install the optical drive.
