A. Prepare :
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power cord.
4. Remove the battery pack.
B. Remove the optical drive:
5.Remove the PM2.0×7.0 screw 1 that secures the optical
drive to the computer.
6. Insert a thin too[l], such as a paper clip, into the media tray release hole [2]. (The optical drive media tray releases from the optical drive.)
7. Use the media tray frame to slide the optical drive [3] out of the computer.
8. Remove the optical drive.
C. Remove Switch Cover:
9. Position the computer with the rear panel toward you.
10.Remove the three PM2.0×4.0 screws that secure the switch cover to the computer.
11. Turn the computer display-side up with the front panel toward you.
12. Open the computer as far as possible.
13. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver [1] under the outside edges of the display hinge covers.
14. Lift the outside edges of the hinge covers [2] until the switch cover disengages from the computer.
15. Swing the rear edge of the switch cover forward.
16. Remove the switch cover.
C. Remove Keyboard:
17. Close the computer.
18. Turn the computer upside down with the rear panel
toward you.
19. Turn the computer display-side up with the front panel toward you.
20. Open the computer as far as possible.
21. Lift the rear edge of the keyboard and swing it forward until it rests on the palm rest.
22. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector [1] to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the keyboard cable [2] from the system board.
Remove the keyboard.
Reverse the above procedure to install the keyboard.
