Keyboard Installation Guide

A. Prepare :

1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3. Disconnect the power cord.

4. Remove the battery pack

B. Remove Keyboard Cover:

5. Turn the computer upside down with the rear panel toward you.

6. Remove the two silver PM2.0×5.0 screws that secure the keyboard cover to the computer.

7. Turn the computer display-side up with the front panel toward you.

8. . Open the computer as far as possible.

9. Insert a flat blade tool into the keyboard cover notches behind the f1, f5, f11, and insert keys and lift up until the keyboard cover disengages from the computer.

10. Remove the keyboard cover.

C. Remove the Keyboard:

11. Remove the four black PM2.0×4.0 screws that secure the keyboard to the computer.

12. Lift the rear edge of the keyboard and swing it toward you until it rests on the palm rest.

13. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the keyboard cable (2) from the system board.

14. Remove the keyboard.

D. Reverse the above procedure to install the keyboard.
