The KVM CAT5 Extender can locate your PC, Server or KVM Switch up to 500 feet away & let two sets of Keyboard/Monitor/Mouse to share one computer. The transmitter synthesizes using the PS2 port for mouse and keyboard along with the VGA monitor port while extending to the receiver with the use of a CAT5 cable. Your main system box can be placed in a safe and secure location away from where you need to access it. It consists of a local unit and remote unit which are connected over long distances using standard Ethernet network patch cable.
It is also a computer sharing device: it lets two sets of keyborad/monitor/mouse to share one computer. One set of keyboard/monitor/mouse connects to local unit, one set of kybaord/monitor/mouse connects to romote unit.
Category 5 cabling makes for a much neater, more convenient, more reliable data transfer connection. Setup is as easy as can be - simply connect the PC system box and local console to the Local Module; run the STP cable to the Remote Module (up to 150 m away); and plug the remote console into the Remote Module.
