This Converter will convert a Notebook Slimline CD drive such as CD-ROM drive, DVD drive, CD-RW drive to a standard desktop IDE CD drive.



On the adapter, one side is a special connector which can connect to a Slimline Notebook CD-ROM Drive/DVD Drive/CD-RW drive, on another side, it has a standard 40-pin IDE connector which you can connect it to a standard IDE controller with 40-pin IDE cable, it also has a 4-pin power connector which connect to power supply through a power connector cable same as floppy drive power connector, and a CD Aduio connector which can direct the Audio sound from CD-ROW/DVD/CD-RW to sound card.

This converter will enable you to connect Slimline CD drive to a standard desktop PC IDE controller , however, it does not come with any frame to mount slimline CD drive to a desktop computer case open bay. Currently we do not have any kind mounting frame for mounting a Slimline CD drive to desktop PC's 5.25" bay yet.
