Universal Car (Auto) DC to DC Power Adapter for Laptop / Notebook Computers

This car charger allows you to power your laptop notebook computers from vehicles with standard cigarette lighters. It provides up to maximum 120W power between 15V ~ 24 volts, which is the sufficient enough to power most portable electronic devices, even Pentium 4 notebook computers with big screens.

This Universal Car (Auto) DC Power Adapter is the compact, portable power solution for mobile users on the road , with multi-voltage selections from 15V to 24V (can set at: 15V, 16V, 18V, 19V, 20V, 22V, 24V )and 8 different interchangeable connector tips, it will works for most laptop/notebook computers on the market.

Standard connectors come with the power adapter:

Connector A: 6.50 x 4.50mm with center Pin. Works for a lot of Fujitsu, Panasonic and Sony Laptops.

Connector B: 6.30 x 3.00mm. Works for a lot of Toshiba Laptops.

Connector C: 5.50 x 2.50mm. Works for a lot of Laptops and other devices

Connector D: 5.50 x 2.10mm. Works for a lot of Laptops and other devices.

Connector E: 5.50 x 1.70mm. Works for a lot of Acer Laptops.

Connector F: 4.75 x 1.75mm. Works for a lot of Compnaq, HP Laptops and other devices.

Connector G: 4.00 x 1.70mm.

Connector H: 3.50 x 1.35mm.

You may order this battery with 12 connectors, which includes 8 Standard Connectors plus 4 Extra Connector Tips: C15, C24, C27 & C31:



C15:  7.9 x 5.5mm with center pin, works for IBM/Lenovo computers.

C24: 7.4 x 5.08mm with center pin for HP/Compaq computers

C27: 7.4 x 5.08mm with center pin for Dell computers.

C31: 3.0 x 1.1mm for Asus and a lot of other brand ultra books.

Car DC Power Adapter vs. DC to AC Inverter:

There are two ways to power your laptop netbook computers from vehicles with standard cigarette lighters, one way is to use the car DC power adapter like this, another way is to use a DC to AC inverter, change the DC power from 12V ( or 24V) vehicle battery DC power to 100V~240V AC power, then use the computer AC power adapter.

We recommend you to use car DC power adapter directly if possible based of two facts:

1. Most DC to AC inverter only have about 80% efficiency rate, which means around 20% extra power from car battery will be wasted on the power inverter.

2. Most low cost DC to AC inverter output wave from is not true pure sine form. However, laptop AC power adapters are designed with true pure sine AC power form. So the inverter may be harmful to your AC power adapter.

The adapter default output is configured as positive polarity. Please make sure your device uses positive polarity power. Most laptops need positive polarity.

How it works:

This universal DC power adapter is very easy to use:

1. Set DC Output Voltage

The Universal Car Cord Adapter has a switch on the front that lets you select the voltage you need within a range of 15V ~ 24volts.

Please refer to the electronic item you are powering to determine voltage. It should be marked on the DC input jack. You may also refer to the manual to determine the proper voltage setting. If there is a discrepancy between the battery chart and the setting marked on your electronic product , ALWAYS select the voltage close to it. For example, if your laptop DC input require is 19.5V, you can set at 19V first, if not work, then set at 20V.

2. Select right tip:

Included with your adapter are 8-plug tips that work with most products. With the plug tip not connected to the adapter cord, locate the correct tip by fitting the tip into the DC Jack. The tip should fit snugly in the DC jack

After select right connector tip, plug it to the output cord of the adapter, now you are ready to use it .

Question: How do I know whether this adapter will work for my Laptop/Notebook Computers?

1. please use our Laptop/Notebook Upgrade Guide to look at your laptop/notebook computer. If the adapter is listed under your laptop, it means it will work for your laptop.

2. If your laptop/notebook computer is not listed on our Laptop/Notebook Upgrade Guide, but its DC input requirement it is between 15V ~ 24V, and the required DC plug on the power adapter is same as one of connectors, Then, this adapter will work for you. Just that simple.
