 Optical Drive (CD-ROM, CDRW, DVD-ROM, DVDRW Drive) Installation Guide for Compaq Presario X1000, HP Pavilion zt3000, HP Compaq nx7000 Notebook Computers
1. Prepare the notebook for disassembly
2. Turn the notebook upside down, with the front toward you.
3. Remove the PM2.5×9.5 screw 1 that secures the optical
drive to the notebook.
4. With a slender tool, pry the hard drive bay to the right to disengage the optical drive. Then grasp the bezel to remove the the optical drive from the notebook 2.
5. Remove the optical drive.
6. Reverse the above procedure to install an optical drive.
