 Compaq Presario 3000 Series and Notebook 800 Series CD/CD-RW/DVD Drive Installation Guide
1. Trun off power, remove the battery
2. Turn the notebook bottom side up with the optical drive facing you.
3. Remove the memory expansion compartment cover
4. Remove the TM2.5x7.0 screw that secures the optical drive to the base enclosure
5. Slide the optical drive out of the base enclosure
6. Reverse the preceding procedure to install the new optical drive.
Note:The optical drives list on this page are bare drives only. You can use them to replace original optical drives. But the front bezel color and shape of new drive may not match the original optical drive.
