Hard Drive Upgrade for Compaq Presario 1010, 1020, 1030, 1060, 1060ES, 1070, 1075, 1080, 1090ES
Hard Drive Installation Instructions
1. Turn the notebook upside-down.
2. Remove the three (torx) screws located on the edge of the Notebook
3. Turn the notebook right-side-up.
4. Slide the palm rest outward from the Notebook.
5. The hard drive is located on the left side of the Notebook
6. Remove the (torx) screws that secure the hard drive bracket.
7. Carefully disconnect the hard drive, and remove the hard drive from the caddy.
8. Install new the new hard drive onto caddy, and connect the hard drive to the caddy.
9. Install the screws previously removed in step 6.
Slide the palm-rest back into place.
10. Replace the previously removed screws in step 2.
