The adapter default output is configured as positive polarity. Please make sure your device uses positive polarity power. Most laptops need positive polarity.
How it works:
This universal DC power adapter is very easy to use:
1. Set DC Output Voltage
The Universal Car Cord Adapter has a switch on the front that lets you
select the voltage you need within a range of 15V ~ 24volts. Please refer to the
electronic item you are powering to determine voltage. It should be marked on the DC input
jack. You may also refer to the manual to determine the proper voltage setting. If there
is a discrepancy between the battery chart and the setting marked on your electronic
product , ALWAYS select the voltage close to it. For example, if your laptop DC input
require is 19.5V, you can set at 19V first, if not work, then set at 20V.
2. Select right tip:
Included with your adapter are 8-plug tips that work with most products. With the plug
tip not connected to the adapter cord, locate the correct tip by fitting the tip into the
DC Jack. The tip should fit snugly in the DC jack
After select right connector tip, plug it to the output cord of the adapter, now you are ready to use it .
Question: How do I know whether this adapter will work for my Laptop/Notebook Computers?
1. please use our Laptop/Notebook Upgrade Guide to look at your laptop/notebook computer. If the adapter is listed under your laptop, it means it will work for your laptop.
2. If your laptop/notebook computer is not listed on our Laptop/Notebook Upgrade Guide, but its DC input requirement it is between 15V ~ 24V, and the required DC plug on the power adapter is similar to one of tips on below picture, Then, this adapter will work for you. Just that simple.

About the Tip Size: 5.5 x2.5mm means the connector's outside diameter is 5.5mm, inside diameter is 2.5mm, 6.3x3.0mm means outside diameter is 6.0mm, inside diameter is 3.0mm ...If none of the tips matches your laptop DC plug, then this adapter will not work for your laptop.
