Remove the device from the media bay:
1. Follow the procedures in General Safety Guidelines for Working with Notebook Computers.
2. Close the display and turn the computer upside-down.
3. Slide and hold the latch release away from the media bay device.
4. Pull the device out of the media bay.
5. Remove the optical drive in the modular with new optical drive.
6. Insert the modular with new optical drive.
